Kasparov computer chess emerged when the world chess champion Gary Kasparov play chess against his computer opponent. The quest of playing chess against computer had begun in the 1950’s when the scientists in Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory started to program chess game in the computer. Scientists were then obsessed to create a program of chess computer that would beat chess world champion. The intelligent minds of many scientists made to achieved their goals.

Due to this technological advancement, the IBM created their multimillion-dollar chess computer Deep Blue. It was one of the greatest milestones achieved by artificial intelligence when Deep Blue defeated Kasparov in a six-game match in 199 thus, the Kasparov computer chess become popular.

In 2003, the man machine experiment was redefined and relaunched and became the world champion in computer chess program. Another six-game match was held between Kasparov and Deep Junior. It was a tough battle compared to the match against Deep Blue. However, the significance of the match was that it brought back computer chess to its scientific origins.

The competition between human against machine is still uphold by many chess enthusiasts. However, it seems mythological because the human player has little knowledge about the machine. Likewise, how the machine did was confined in secrecy. After the termination of IBM’s Deep Blue, many talented chess enthusiasts became interested to formulate new programming techniques combined with excellent chess knowledge. Thus, other chess computer programs were created that play better than Deep Blue in terms of analyzing moves and strengths. However, because chess is a game that is mathematically near infinite, sheer power in chess means little.

In this sense, the world champion decided to reconstruct the process of the computer’s decision-making in their own program. The match he played against chess computers helped a lot in such a way that he can analyze almost all the games especially the match with Deep Junior. It opened a new era in computer chess because all the aspects of the game was recorded and were under strict supervision. The strengths and shortcomings of the machine were identified. On the other hand, the new era of chess computers are exciting because of the different techniques and distinctive styles used in many programs. To provide chess players with unique cognitive opportunity to match machines with human brains different techniques should be formed.

Thus, if you want to know what made Kasparov won the game over Deep Junior, you should watch the video of the game and study the move carefully. Likewise, you should also practice playing chess of similar version as Deep Junior so that you could familiarize the moves. Keep in mind that computer programmer sees to it that the chess program is modified every now and then to improve its level and strength. In this sense, human player should also improve his or her skill to cope up with the strength of computer chess program. Remember that constant practice is a big help to improve your game against human player or against computer. As much as possible, review all the games played by chess grandmasters.
