Deep blue was a highly programmed chess-playing computer developed by IBM. On the exact date of February 10, 1996, this machine won 6-game match against the world champion Garry Kasparov. In his surprise, he accused the said machine for cheating and suggested for a rematch. Because of that, IBM declined and reassembled Deep Blue. A year after, Kasparov won against the reprogrammed-machine by a score of 4-2. Deep Blue was started as a “Chip Test” at Mellon University. After the graduation, Anantharaman and Campbell were hired by the IBM to continue the research on building Chess software. During that time, the machine was named as Deep Thought. After the victory against Kasparov, the machine’s name was changed into “Deep Blue”
